The first is to choose the location. The place, for example, could be a pristine beach, a small island or a hilly area with lots of trees. Generally, it is up to your personal tastes. I personally find Lake Jocassee the most suitable one.
Located in the state of Devils Fork in northwest South Carolina, Lake Jocassee is a 7,500-acre, 300-foot deep reservoir. It was created in 1973 by the state in partnership with Duke Power. The lake is known for the clean and cold Appalachian mountain rivers that flow into it, keeping its waters cool and clear year-round. The air in the lake is clean and fresh, making it very suitable for fishing (Spotted bass, rainbow trout, Brown trout, Blue-mackerel, Small-mouthed bass), boating, swimming or overnight camping.
After choosing a picnicking spot, the next step is to plan a menu for a few days of camping. What you need to prepare depends on the number of participants, but make sure everyone is always well-nourished. The menu, for instance, can include sandwiches, meat, cheese, chicken, coffee, Coca-Cola and Budweiser beer. Medicines are another indispensable part. You need to prepare medicines such as fever-reducers, upset stomach relief, bug repellant, hemostatic drugs, bandage and some antibiotics for common cold, ...Next is to gather supplies for the picnic like camping tents, fishing rods, lighters, clothes and toiletries, mini bluetooth speakers, shotguns, flashlights, power banks, ... Remember to bring kitchen utensils and refill your gas tank.
Everything has been prepared and let's depart now!
Given the poetic views of Lake Jocassee, it's great to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, then we go boating, swimming and salmon fishing. The cool blue water of the lake will help combat the fatigue, give your skin more vitality and reduce stress after long days of hard work and study.
Once you've caught salmon, you can immediately make grilled fish by preparing dry firewood and setting it on fire. Poke a skewer through the fish lengthwise, cut it horizontally, spread lemon chili salt over the meat and roast it over the hot coals left in the fire. Once the fish is well-cooked, its fragrant will surely makes your mouth water! The dish is great to pair with Budweiser beer.
With the chicken we brought along, let grill it for dinner. After a tiring day we go back to the tent and rest and prepare for the hunt tomorrow.
Lake Jocassee is surrounded by dense forests where we can embrace a little adventure. Now let's prepare hunting rifles, then climb mountains, hunt animals, shoot birds and find sweet fruits. However, be careful not to get insect bites, fall or get lost!
Have a very enjoyable and happy summer vacation. Wishing your trip a great success!
